Ante la urgencia de conservar la agro-biodiversidad los participantes en este taller:

• Desarrollarán habilidades y conocimientos que les permitan conservar, reproducir y aumentar su germoplasma para mejora de sistemas agroecológicos.
• Realizarán prácticas relacionadas a la selección, limpieza, y conservación de semillas dentro del marco de un sistema orgánico Biointensivo.
• Incrementarán conocimientos teóricos concernientes a la conservación de semillas.
• Intercambiarán experiencias y semillas.

El taller se realizará en el Huerto Vía Orgánica del Vivero Municipal ubicado en el Parque Landeta (cerca al Charco del Ingenio). Será teórico-práctico.

Horario: 9:00 am-6:00 pm, incluye almuerzo

El costo: 700 pesos. Existe la posibilidad de becas y trueque.

Vía Orgánica is pleased to announce their next workshop on August 7th and 8th.  This time we have the honor of presenting the biologist Karla Arroyo, founder and director of "Huerto de Semillas" at "Las Cañadas", a center of ecological agriculture and sustainable living in Huatusco, Veracruz, México , who is also a certified instructor in the biointensive method.  

Given the urgency of conserving agricultural bio-diversity the participants in this workshop:

• Will develop knowledge and abilities that permit them to conserve, reproduce and augment their germplasm in order to improve ecological agrocultural systems.
• Will complete pratical exercises related to the selection, cleaning and conservation of seeds within the framework of an biointensive organic system.  
• Will increase their theoretical technical knowledge about the conservation of seeds. 
• Will exchange experiences and seeds.

The workshop will take place at the Huerto Vía Orgánica at the Municipal Nursery located in Parque Landeta (near Charco del Ingenio). It will be theoretical-pratical.

Hours: 9:00 am-6:00 pm, including lunch

Cost: 700 pesos. There is the posibility of scholarships or barter.
