Ecofrigo breaks down unwanted appliances following federal ecological guidelines and recycles their component parts, including the refrigerant gas which if allowed to escape into the atmosphere is a huge contributor to global warming. They also participate in the federal program ‘Cambia tu viejo por uno nuevo’ (Change your old one for a new one) which subsidizes the replacement of old refrigerators with new ones. . They accept microwave ovens, refrigerators, washers, dryers, computers, printers, TVs, cell phones and chargers, batteries, light bulbs, acetone bottles and paint containers.

Reciqla's collection center receives sorted recyclables including PET and HDPE plastics, glass, paper, cardboard, aluminum cans, tin cans, and plastic bags. Pick-up of recyclables is available for 15 pesos per visit. Reciqla will work with communities that want to establish a centralized pick-up location.
Bring your empty plastic PET bottles to the little store at Animas 1, Centro (corner of Calzada de la Luz). Leave them with Margarita or Beatriz at the store anytime. The bottles will be brought to Las Heroinas Primary School in SMA for recycling. The proceeds from the sale of the bottles go to buy computers and other necessary items for the school.
