The municipal landfill charges a small fee based on weight. When in operation, the sorting facility removes some recyclables but does not separate organic waste. Waste you cannot compost or recycle should be transported to the landfill by a reliable service so it does not wind up in empty lots, along roadways, or in the countryside.
